Maltipoos Rescued from Puppy Mill
The Towaliga County District Attorney’s Office and the Monroe County Sheriff’s Department were alerted about the conditions of dogs on a property in Monroe County by a concerned citizen, and during a welfare check, the extremely neglectful and unsanitary environment was discovered.
The Atlanta Humane Society's Animal Protection Unit arrived on scene to assist. AHS transported 43 dogs back to Atlanta to be assessed and given a basic medical exam and to find safe and appropriate placement for all of the dogs. Many will need extensive medical care and long-term foster care before they are ready for adoption.
Criminal charges are pending, and this is still an active investigation.
With your support, these dogs are able to receive the love, veterinary care, and new families they deserve. Please, your donation is needed now.
